Build the Buy-Side Relationship Platform for Northvale Equity
Northvale Equity is a relationship-first deal origination firm focused on helping founder-led businesses explore strategic partnerships long before a formal sale process begins.
We believe the best transactions don't start with auctions - they start with trust.
Every week, we're building relationships with founders across communications infrastructure, managed services, cybersecurity, low-voltage, A/V, fire & life safety, security integration, industrial services, and other essential industries. Our role is to understand their long-term goals and connect them with the right strategic or financial partner when the timing makes sense.
We're looking for someone to build the other side of that equation.
The Opportunity
We're searching for a long-term partner to own Northvale's capital relationships.
Your mission is simple:
Turn Northvale into the first call private equity firms, family offices, and strategic buyers make when they're looking for proprietary deal flow.
You'll help build one of the industry's most trusted independent deal origination platforms while working alongside the firm's founder.
What You'll Own
You'll lead Northvale's relationships with:
- Private Equity Firms
- Family Offices
- Independent Sponsors
- Strategic Acquirers
- Corporate Development Teams
- Investment Banks
- Trusted Referral Partners
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing new retained client relationships
- Understanding buyer acquisition mandates
- Building long-term relationships with investment professionals
- Representing Northvale at conferences and industry events
- Creating strategic referral partnerships
- Collaborating with founder origination to match opportunities with active buyers
- Helping shape Northvale's long-term growth strategy

This Is NOT a Traditional Job
There is no salary during Year One.
This is a commission-based opportunity designed for someone who believes in building long-term value rather than collecting a paycheck.
There are:
- No fixed hours
- No office requirement
- No micromanagement
You'll build your own schedule, own your relationships, and be measured by the value you create.
If you're looking for a traditional W-2 sales position, this probably isn't the right fit.
If you're looking to help build something meaningful with significant long-term upside, we'd love to talk.
Compensation:
Year One is commission-based.
Compensation is earned through revenue generating activities, including:
- Monthly client retainers
- Success fees from completed transactions
- Referral-based revenue opportunities
As Northvale grows, your earning potential grows alongside it.
Pathway to Equity
We're looking for a true long-term partner—not simply another salesperson.
After one year, you'll become eligible for an equity review based on measurable contribution to the business.
Eligibility will be evaluated based on factors such as:
- Retained clients secured
- Revenue generated
- Long-term client retention
- Buyer relationships developed
- Strategic contribution to Northvale
- Leadership and cultural alignment
Any equity grant will be subject to a standard vesting schedule, including a one-year cliff, ensuring both parties have the opportunity to confirm the partnership is the right long-term fit.
Northvale's founder intends to retain majority ownership, but exceptional long-term contributions will be recognized through meaningful equity participation.

Within your first year, you'll help establish Northvale as a trusted extension of the acquisition teams we serve.
Success means buyers don't think of Northvale as another intermediary.
They think of us as part of their acquisition strategy.
