Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, to accurately diagnose oral health conditions.
- Perform a wide range of dental procedures such as dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics (depending on comfort level).
- Utilize advanced dental technology and medical imaging tools to support precise diagnoses and treatment planning.
- Collaborate with assistants and office staff to ensure seamless patient care using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Maintain detailed and compliant medical documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare standards.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment options, and preventive care strategies to promote long-term dental health.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Valid state dental license with eligibility to practice as a General Dentist.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and healthcare diagnosis procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics; experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws to ensure compliance in all patient interactions.
- Skilled in medical documentation, dental fabrication processes, and client communication strategies.
- Demonstrated commitment to infection control standards and aseptic techniques within a clinical setting.
