Wonderland PPEC (Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Center) is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and motivated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our dedicated clinical team.

As the Director of Nursing, you will provide clinical leadership, oversee daily nursing operations, ensure regulatory compliance, mentor and develop staff, and help deliver exceptional care to medically complex children in a family-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, supervision, and support to all nursing staff.
- Ensure compliance with all Florida AHCA, Medicaid, OSHA, HIPAA, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Oversee daily clinical operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care.
- Develop, implement, and maintain nursing policies, procedures, and clinical standards.
- Monitor quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
- Participate in patient admissions, clinical assessments, and individualized care planning as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and families to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Mentor, coach, and develop nursing staff through education, training, and performance evaluations.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels and assist with scheduling when necessary.
- Promote infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory readiness.
- Serve as the clinical leader during state surveys, audits, and inspections.
- Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications
- Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing leadership or management experience.
- Pediatric, PICU, NICU, home health, or PPEC experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric nursing practices and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead by example while building strong relationships with staff and families.
- Current CPR/BLS certification required (PALS preferred).
