We are seeking a motivated and skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems across various facilities. Permanent home lighting, bistro lights, holiday lights, landscape lights
Duties
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot low voltage systems
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to execute installations accurately.
- Conduct field service visits to diagnose issues, repair equipment, and perform preventive maintenance on telecommunication systems.
- Assist with network installation tasks
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to complete cabling runs, equipment mounting, and system upgrades.
- Test electrical circuits with ohmmeters and other testing devices to verify system integrity following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Collaborate with clients to provide exceptional customer service by explaining system functions and addressing concerns professionally.Experience
- Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or Service Technician working with telecommunication or IT infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN setup, Ethernet cabling (Cat5/Cat6), and network hardware such as Cisco or Juniper routers.
- Hands-on experience with fiber splicing techniques and troubleshooting fiber optic networks.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems, access control solutions, VoIP telephony (including Avaya), and electrical wiring standards (NEC).
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately for system installation and maintenance purposes.
- Experience working in data centers or similar high-tech environments is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
