The Full-Time Building Substitute Teacher is a dedicated, daily instructional resource. In this role, you will provide stable, reliable classroom coverage and student support. You will step in to assume the roles and responsibilities of education staff during absences, seamlessly adapt to various grade levels or subjects, assist students academically and behaviorally, and fulfill other building-level duties as assigned by school administration.

Classroom Management & Instruction:

Maintain a consistent schedule by reporting to the school building daily.

Implement established teacher lesson plans with fidelity, ensuring continuity of learning.

Reinforce school culture, academic expectations, and the student code of conduct through effective, positive classroom management.

Assign student classwork and homework as directed by the permanent teacher or lesson plans.

Take daily attendance accurately for each class period.
Student Support & Assistance:

Provide direct instructional, behavioral, or administrative assistance to students, both within a whole-class setting and in small groups.

Support students who require extra help with assignments or activities during periods when not actively leading a class.
Daily Operations & Communication:

Arrive at the scheduled time daily to check-in at the main office, collect classroom keys, attendance rosters, lesson plans, and specific building instructions.

Complete a daily report and communicate any pertinent information, student progress, or incidents resulting from the day’s events to the Principal or classroom teacher.

Follow and abide by all school and company policies, safety protocols, and procedures.
Building Flexibility:

Remain adaptable and ready to pivot between different classrooms, grade levels, or subject areas throughout the school day as coverage needs shift.

Perform other operational or instructional duties as assigned by the building administration (e.g., lunchroom duty, hallway monitoring, or main office support).
