Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of hair styling services including cuts, blowouts, updos, and special occasion styles to meet each client’s unique preferences.
- Skillfully apply hair extensions, color treatments based on color theory principles, and advanced techniques such as balayage or ombre.
- Utilize salon software like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client management, and retail sales tracking.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by properly cleaning tools, stations, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Offer expert advice on hair care routines, product recommendations, and retail sales to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty.
- Conduct consultations to understand client needs, communicate style options clearly, and manage expectations effectively.
- Assist with front desk duties when needed, including greeting clients, managing appointments, and supporting store management tasks.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair threading, eyelash extensions, makeup application, or nail care to foster skill development.
- Upsell retail products such as styling tools or hair care items to maximize sales opportunities while providing value to clients.
Experience
- Proven experience as a professional Hair Stylist or Barbering with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse styling skills.
- Knowledge of salon software systems like MINDBODY is highly preferred for efficient client management.
- Expertise in hair coloring techniques rooted in color theory ensures vibrant results tailored to individual skin tones.
- Hands-on experience with hair extensions installation, eyelash extensions, and nail care treatments is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills are essential for understanding client needs and delivering personalized service confidently.
- Familiarity with sanitation protocols and salon safety standards is required to maintain a clean and safe environment.
