We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Cleaner to join our team for evening weekday shifts from 5pm to 9pm. This role is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. As a key member of our custodial staff, you will perform a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure all areas are spotless, well-maintained, and compliant with health and safety standards. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and buff floors to maintain a polished appearance
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste responsibly throughout the shift
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet paper as needed
- Conduct routine inspections to identify areas requiring additional attention or maintenance
- Assist with light custodial tasks including window cleaning and surface disinfecting
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to ensure a hazard-free environment
Qualifications
- Prior experience in commercial or industrial cleaning preferred, with knowledge of janitorial procedures
- Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and polishing
- Experience with custodial equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and mops
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform manual cleaning tasks for extended periods
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to cleaning chemicals and equipment
