Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team, delivering high-quality patient care across diverse medical settings. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews using advanced EMR/EHR systems such as Athena.
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with HIPAA regulations and DEA guidelines while ensuring proper documentation of all medical records.
- Perform specialized procedures such as suturing, IV insertions, catheterizations, spinal taps, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin treatments, and sterile processing techniques.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions in an outpatient clinic.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans for diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, memory care patients, and those requiring complex case management.
- Engage in diagnostic evaluations utilizing laboratory experience such as specimen collection/processing and medical imaging techniques like sonography.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives to advance evidence-based practices within the organization’s scope of services.
- Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to quality care for remote or underserved populations.
- Assist in discharge planning, utilization review, health coaching, and patient education to promote optimal health outcomes.
Experience
- Proven experience working in fast-paced environments such as emergency medicine, trauma centers (Level I & II), critical & intensive care units (ICU), or hospital medicine settings.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR system Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation.
- Extensive background in specialties such as gastroenterology, geriatrics, behavioral health, pain management (including acute pain management), occupational health, and infectious disease care.
- Hands-on experience performing procedures like suturing, tube feeding management, ventilator support handling, cardiac catheterization assistance or airway management.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare diagnosis coding systems ICD-9/10 and CPT coding for accurate billing and compliance.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatric (toddler care ), adult (medical-surgical & outpatient), and senior care environments such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities.
- Familiarity with advanced practice provider responsibilities within collaborative practice agreements across various healthcare settings.
- Ability to perform triage assessments in urgent care or emergency room contexts efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient safety.
- Skilled in infection control protocols and aseptic techniques essential for sterile procedures like phlebotomy or catheter care.

Pay: $124,174.66 - $149,543.67 per year
