What you will be doing
The Regional Learning Manager is responsible for leading a team of learning and talent professionals that develop and manage innovative and engaging training and recruitment strategies that foster a culture of growth and development. They collaborate and partner with subject matter experts to create, maintain, and deliver programs supporting the Division and Company objectives within operations, merchandising/marketing and support functions that enhance retention, creates an engaging culture of learning and builds a strong talent pipeline for the division.
The Regional Learning Manager will report to the VP of Human Resources.
Main responsibilities

Lead, manage and mentor a team of learning and talent professionals.

Responsible for overseeing in-person and virtual training for division associates.

Work collaboratively with division and corporate partners to identify training needs and trends.

Create training and development strategic and operational plans that are aligned with company goals and objectives aimed at enhancing skills and bridges competency gaps.

Support company-wide and local division compliance delivery, communication, and policy messaging and programs.

Responsible for working with external partners to implement division educational programs inclusive of scholarships and retail industry development programs.

Monitor the results of existing programs and make recommendations for changes to improve the effectiveness of the programs.

Source materials both internally and externally, when necessary, to deliver training and programs in a cost-effective and relevant manner.

Manage any training and roll-out of new systems added to our retail or division support locations.

Manage e-Learning compliance and partner with leaders to ensure timely completion.

Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations in all activities and programs.

Maintain a keen understanding of trends, developments, and industry practices to proactively update and keep our training materials relevant and seamless.

Partner with internal communications to create and amplify programs and celebrations via internal social media vehicles.

Assist with projects and additional assignments as necessary.
Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications.

We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:
-
5+ years progressively responsible experience in Learning & Development, Training, within an HR function, or in a consultative type of role.
-
2+ years experience in a supervisory or management role leading others.
-
BA/BS in Business, HR, or related field and/or combination equivalent work experience.
-
MBA or Masters in HR or related field a plus.
-
Familiar with training courses and related KPIs to improve delivery and content.
-
Knowledge of enterprise-wide Applicant Tracking systems and proven experience working in a results measured environment preferred.

Experience working in and/or supporting grocery, retail, operational, and/or union environments a plus.

Occasional travel to stores and community events across the Southwest Division required.
