Job Summary
Statewide Electrical Contractors Inc. is seeking an experienced AutoCAD Specialist with strong HVAC coordination knowledge to support the design and construction of ground-up high-rise multifamily residential projects.
This position will work closely with project managers, superintendents, engineers, and field teams to develop, revise, and coordinate HVAC layouts and construction drawings for large-scale residential towers. The ideal candidate understands how HVAC systems are actually installed in the field and can identify conflicts before construction begins.
Responsibilities
- Create and revise HVAC AutoCAD drawings for multifamily high-rise construction projects
- Coordinate HVAC layouts with electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and structural systems
- Review architectural and MEP plans to identify clashes and constructability issues
- Produce coordinated shop drawings and as-built drawings
- Assist project teams with permit revisions and field coordination
- Work with superintendents and subcontractors to ensure drawings match installation requirements
- Maintain organized drawing files and document revisions
- Support value engineering efforts to improve efficiency and reduce construction costs
- Participate in coordination meetings with engineers, architects, and contractors
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of AutoCAD drafting experience in HVAC or MEP construction
- Experience with ground-up high-rise multifamily projects required
- Strong understanding of HVAC installation methods and construction sequencing
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP plans
- Knowledge of duct layouts, equipment coordination, shaft requirements, and mechanical room layouts
- Familiarity with local building codes and construction standards
- Experience coordinating with field personnel and project management teams
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Revit experience is a plus
- South Florida construction experience preferred

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
