Duties
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, adhering to quality standards and recipes.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently.
- Handle retail sales transactions, including cash handling, processing payments, and giving correct change.
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders promptly, and serve beverages with enthusiasm.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, tables, and equipment, following food safety guidelines.
- Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, ensuring proper food handling and safety procedures are followed.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers quickly while maintaining high-quality service standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks involved in beverage preparation and cleaning.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
