Position Overview
The Marketing & Social Media Coordinator supports and coordinates integrated marketing efforts for the Texas Exes across email, web, print, events, and social media. This position helps advance the Association’s brand, audience engagement, and revenue generation goals by managing campaign calendars, drafting marketing copy, preparing creative briefs, coordinating production timelines, supporting email campaign builds and deployment, assisting with web updates, tracking results, and producing and scheduling social media content.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and has a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at once. They must be a strong executor and able to coordinate projects from start to finish with minimal supervision. This is a diverse, fast-paced role in a busy department.
Major Job Functions
- Assist in the execution of marketing plans for internal constituents and Association priorities, including events, membership, annual giving, partnerships, and revenue-generating initiatives.
- Coordinate project timelines, maintain marketing calendars, and help manage intake, deadlines, and deliverables across marketing projects.
- Write marketing copy for customer-facing web, social, email, and print content while maintaining brand voice and consistency across audiences, assets, categories, and channels.
- Produce marketing and communications briefs with clear direction centered on marketing strategies and goals. Work closely with the internal creative team to coordinate the production of marketing collateral.
- Concept, develop, produce, and schedule branded social media content that promotes Association benefits, events, programs, partners, and the Texas Exes brand across multiple platforms.
- Maintain the social media calendar, manage departmental requests for social media, monitor audience needs and feedback, and provide live coverage for select Association events in collaboration with the Marketing Team.
- Assist with email marketing campaigns from planning through deployment, including translating creative briefs into responsive, dynamic, and personalized email communications.
- Assist with project management for ongoing web updates, email projects, and social media projects as needed.
- Develop reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing results, and present results monthly.
- Help conduct market research, including usability studies, benchmarking, focus groups, surveys, and related audience insights work.

- Collaborative: ability to work across multiple functions of the Association (Communications, Administration, Advocacy, Programs/Services) to assist in driving results
- Flexible: open to changing priorities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Independent: ability to work effectively unsupervised
- Proactive: able to note things that need to be done without being prompted and proactively address them
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products; familiarity with a customer relationship management database, experience in graphic design and basic understanding of html code a plus; relevant experience in email marketing and platforms an added bonus
- Ability to attend occasional evening and weekend events
