Duties
- Operate cash registers accurately, handling retail sales transactions with efficiency and attention to detail
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities
- Maintain knowledge of store products and merchandising displays to assist customers effectively
- Manage cash drawer handling, ensuring proper cash handling procedures and balancing at shift end
- Stock shelves and organize merchandise to support attractive store presentation and inventory management
- Use POS (Point of Sale) systems for sales processing, returns, and exchanges while adhering to company policies
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently in both English and bilingual capacities if applicable
- Demonstrated proficiency in POS systems, cash register operations, and basic math for accurate transactions
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling inquiries or customer concerns over the phone
- Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in growth opportunities within the team
- Ability to perform retail math calculations quickly and accurately for sales totals and change handling
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and stock management practices
