Job Summary:
The senior project manager is responsible for planning and overseeing large scale and complex projects from beginning to end to ensure they are completed correctly to code compliance and Deck It’s quality standards within the provided budget and in a timely fashion. In addition to managing projects, the senior project manager is also responsible for assisting and guiding up to (4) project managers and training new crews.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Report to Director of Operations
- Verify project work details with sales team as needed
- Set project schedules to be followed by operations team and subcontractors
- Actively manage up to 2 large scale and/or complex project and 1 simpler project at a time
- Provide daily communication to customers regarding the status of projects
- Maintain communication between administration and operations staffing to ensure construction projects are executed efficiently, timely and to the expectations of the customer
- Maintain communication to all pertinent subcontractors to maintain progress on projects
- Document project change orders and cost overages and pass necessary information on to appropriate staff
- Attend inspections for assigned projects as needed
- Conduct daily inspections of work sites as needed
- Ensure all building codes are being followed accordingly
- Conduct quality improvement assessment upon completion of each project
- Maintain a log using pictures and notes as tasks are executed throughout the project
- Assist with training new project managers
- Answer installation and logistics question from the project management team
- Create tasks for assistant project managers as needed
- Work with new subcontractors to ensure quality standards and correct installation practices are being followed
- Assume responsibilities of Director of Operations as needed when they are unavailable
- Create goals and achievements to offer incentives to the project management team with annual allotted budget
Pay: $80,000 - $120,000 Commensurate with Experience
