Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service throughout their visit, including taking food orders and answering questions about menu items.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, including handling kitchen equipment and maintaining cleanliness in food prep areas.
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance sales and customer satisfaction.
- Manage cash register operations by processing cash, credit card, and digital payments while ensuring accurate cash handling and balancing at shift end.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace by adhering to sanitation, food safety, and food handling protocols.
- Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurants, café environments, or retail sales is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety standards, and sanitation practices.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with cash register operations is a plus.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively while maintaining a clean workspace.
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities.
- Food industry experience including food handling, serving, or grocery store work is advantageous but not required.
