Job Title: General Manager

Job Summary:
Courtyard by Marriott in Moosic, PA is seeking a motivated and dynamic General Manager to oversee and drive all aspects of hotel operations. This individual will be responsible for leading the property's team, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maximizing revenue and profitability while upholding Marriott brand standards. The role offers a base salary with a competitive performance-based bonus structure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee all hotel departments, including front office, housekeeping, sales, food and beverage, and maintenance, to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase occupancy, revenue, and profitability for the Courtyard Moosic property.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and manage hotel staff to build a high-performing, guest-focused team.
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, local businesses, and community organizations to support the hotel's reputation and growth.
- Ensure full compliance with Marriott brand standards, quality assurance requirements, and operational procedures.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance, including labor costs, expenses, and revenue targets.
- Collaborate with the sales and revenue management teams to optimize pricing strategies and drive occupancy.
- Address guest concerns and ensure high levels of guest satisfaction, service quality, and issue resolution.
- Analyze market trends and competitor performance to identify opportunities and adjust hotel strategy accordingly.
- Track and report key operational and financial performance metrics, providing regular updates to ownership/management company.
- Represent the hotel at local and regional events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the property.
- Stay updated on industry developments and actively seek opportunities to enhance the hotel's market presence and performance.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record in hotel management, preferably within the hospitality industry with Marriott or similar brand experience.
- Experience overseeing multi-department hotel operations, including staff leadership and P&L responsibility.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Familiarity with the Moosic/Scranton, PA market and surrounding areas is a plus.
Compensation:
* Base Salary: Commensurate with experience.
* Bonus: Earned based on hotel performance and achievement of monthly and annual operational and financial goals.
