As a Pediatric Support Specialist, you'll provide one-on-one support for children with developmental, behavioral, communication, and learning challenges. Working under individualized treatment plans, you'll help children practice important life skills in natural settings through engaging, play-based activities.
Your responsibilities may include:
Supporting communication, emotional regulation, and social development
Encouraging independence with daily living and self-help skills
Facilitating learning through structured play and positive reinforcement
Assisting children during community outings and recreational activities
Preparing simple meals while following dietary guidelines and restrictions
Recording session information and documenting client progress
Participating in team meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development
Maintaining required certifications and agency standards
