Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Foreman/Pipelayer to lead and execute underground utility installation projects with precision and safety. In this role, you will oversee the installation of sanitary sewer, stormwater, water supply, and other underground utility systems, ensuring adherence to blueprint specifications and safety regulations. Duties
- Lead and supervise pipelaying crews in the installation of underground utilities including sanitary sewers, stormwater systems, water supply lines, and other utility infrastructure.
- Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to excavate trenches, move materials, and assist with pipe installation.
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate pipe placement and system layout.
- Perform construction trenching activities following blueprint specifications while maintaining safety protocols in accordance with federal construction safety regulations.
- Install pipes using pipe lasers for precise alignment; utilize utility locating tools to identify existing underground utilities before excavation.
- Conduct concrete finishing, pipe fitting, welding, and concrete forming tasks as needed for utility system installations.
- Adhere strictly to safety regulations and protocols during all phases of construction work; maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on pipeline or utility installation projects.
- Proficiency in heavy equipment operation including dozer, loader operation, backhoe operation, excavator use, forklift handling, and front loader trucks.
- Skilled in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans; capable of interpreting complex technical specifications.
- Knowledge of underground utilities installation such as sanitary sewers, stormwater systems, water supply systems, and wastewater infrastructure.
- Ability to perform construction trenching safely while following all federal safety regulations; experience with utility trenching is essential.
- Competence in using hand tools, pipe lasers, utility locating devices, welding equipment, and concrete finishing tools.
- Familiarity with oil & gas pipeline work or plumbing is a plus; experience with construction safety standards related to heavy equipment operation is required.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to lead crews effectively while maintaining high safety standards.

Pay: $26.88 - $39.75 per hour
