American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring an Illinois RN license and at least three years of relevant nursing experience

Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
-
13-week contract assignment
-
Night shift schedule from 7:00PM-7:30AM
-
36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
-
No block scheduling permitted
-
Every other weekend required
-
Holiday coverage required on a rotation basis
-
2 call shifts required per 6-week schedule period, with 13-hour call shifts and expectation to be onsite within one hour

Uses Epic EMR
-
Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
-
Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA)
-
Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience required
-
ASN required, BSN preferred
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Trauma Level 2 or higher experience preferred
-
TNCC certification highly preferred
-
Serves as primary caregiver for a designated group of ED patients, utilizing the nursing process to deliver care
-
Completes initial patient assessments and develops individualized plans of care in collaboration with providers, patients, and families
-
Implements and modifies plans of care based on continuous patient assessment and evolving needs
-
Maintains accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation
-
Reports and corrects safety hazards to ensure patient and staff safety
-
Collaborates and communicates effectively with staff, patients, and families to promote a healing environment
-
Provides constructive feedback to peers to support professional development
-
This is a high-risk department assignment within the Emergency Department
-
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
-
RTO limited to a maximum of 7 total days during the 13-week contract
