Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast POS , ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards and ensuring guest needs are met
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments via POS systems like Toast platforms
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and assisting with food handling and preparation when needed
- Foster positive guest relations through friendly interactions, attentive service, and prompt resolution of any concerns or issues
Requirements
- Previous restaurant experience or food service background is highly preferred; fine dining or Japenese restaurant experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Toast POS, or similar platforms
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking efficiently
- Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and order calculations
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with food industry tools like RESY for reservations or guest management is advantageous
- Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity can be beneficial for understanding food preparation processes
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required in hospitality settings such as restaurants or nightclubs
