As a Quality Control Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing inspection workflows and leading a team of inspectors to meet stringent quality and schedule objectives. Your expertise in quality management and leadership will drive continuous improvement and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the Quality Control inspection team, providing direction and leadership to ensure timely and cost-effective inspection activities.
- Collaborate with internal value streams, external customers, and regulatory bodies to ensure products meet all requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles and methodologies to enhance inspection processes.
- Oversee associate performance and development, including training, feedback, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with customer and government source inspectors to maintain production schedules.
- Maintain departmental training matrix and ensure redundant coverage for all inspection requirements.
- Report inspection yield metrics and activities during daily management meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in quality or an engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of quality control experience in a regulated industry.
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience supervising a team performing inspection activities.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, comparators).
- Knowledge of AS9100/AS9102/AS9110 standards.
- Expertise in interpreting complex engineering part drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- ASQ certification in quality.
- AS9100 lead auditor certification.
- Experience with ISO 13485.
- Familiarity with Kaizen principles.
