For the New York Office of a Global Law Firm
Responsibilities include:

Develop and execute national lateral hiring strategies for key practice groups, advising leaders on talent needs, candidate profiles, assessment methods, and measures of success.

Lead sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring processes for associate, staff attorney, visiting attorney, and other designated positions.

Manage national lateral hiring operations, including job postings, interview scheduling, offer processes, onboarding, conflicts clearance, reference checks, background verifications, and related documentation.

Build and maintain relationships with national and local search firms, oversee fee agreement compliance, and identify recruiting partnerships that address immediate and ongoing hiring needs.

Analyze market data, internal hiring activity, compensation trends, and the competitive landscape to inform recruiting strategies, reports, and new approaches to promoting career opportunities.

Work closely with recruiting leadership and related departments on workforce planning, stakeholder initiatives, reporting, and integration efforts, while managing and mentoring the Lateral Recruiting Coordinator.
Qualifications include:

8+ years of legal recruiting experience, including 4+ years of significant lateral experience, preferably in a large, national or international law firm environment.

Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel is a must. Experience with an applicant tracking software (preferably ViRecruit) is preferred.

Initiative, ability to multitask and prioritize under tight deadlines.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle high volume, and be a team player.

Strong attention to detail and good judgement.
Salary: $190k-$225k
