We are seeking a detail-oriented Deployment Technician to support Point Of Care (POC) environments by configuring, connecting, and validating IT hardware and network devices. This role is responsible for setting up PCs and network-connected devices, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and assisting with the deployment and testing of middleware applications. The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation in networking, hardware installation, and device connectivity, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced technical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, install, and deploy PCs, network devices, and peripheral equipment in POC and testing environments.
- Connect network devices using RJ45 Ethernet cabling and verify proper physical and network connectivity.
- Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues using IP addressing concepts, ping commands, and other diagnostic tools.
- Support the end-to-end POC testing workflow, including device setup, validation, and issue resolution.
- Configure and validate connectivity between devices and middleware applications.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of middleware products such as Navify, RALS, and similar healthcare integration platforms.
- Document installation procedures, test results, and technical issues encountered during POC deployments.
- Collaborate with engineering, implementation, and project teams to ensure successful testing and deployment activities.
- Maintain inventory and organization of deployment hardware and networking equipment.
- Follow established IT, networking, and security best practices throughout deployment activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of PC hardware setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience installing and connecting network devices using RJ45 Ethernet cables.
- Understanding of basic networking concepts, including IP addressing, subnetting fundamentals, and network connectivity testing (ping, traceroute preferred).
- Familiarity with Point Of Care (POC) testing processes and device validation.
- Experience configuring and testing device connectivity in lab or production environments.
- Working knowledge of middleware applications such as Navify, RALS, or similar integration platforms is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or technical certification in Information Technology, Networking, or a related field.
- Experience supporting healthcare IT environments or laboratory systems.
- Familiarity with network switches, routers, and basic TCP/IP networking.
- Experience documenting technical procedures and testing results.
