The incumbent in this position performs a wide variety of skilled tasks involved in the maintenance and repair of ventilation, heating and air conditioning units related to the care and maintenance of STOF buildings and facilities. High school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Appropriate specialized training in the skills needed in heating and air-conditioning systems repair and installation is required.
A minimum of four (4) years of journeyman experience in heating, air-conditioning and energy management, two of which were spent on commercial HVAC is required. Must be knowledgeable of and possess ability to diagnose problems with wide variety of HVAC equipment; Condensers, RTUs, Head Units, Mini Splits, Chillers etc. Possession of an EPA Section 608 Refrigerant Technician Type I and II certification is required.
Possession of an EPA Section 608 Refrigerant Technician Universal certification within six months of the date of appointment is required. Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s license. Ability to travel to all STOF Reservations and work on a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays; and be on call 24/7 for emergencies is a requirement of this position.
