- In this assisting role, you assist our veterinarians and technicians in treating and examining our animal patients. Each shift, you are determined to provide the highest quality of care. Your initial interaction includes obtaining patient history and performing an evaluation of the animal's condition. Your calming personality comes in handy as you restrain animals as needed for examination, perform treatments, and administer medications or vaccines. Your attention to detail and organizational skills help you keep accurate records as you document patient files and case histories. Using your empathetic demeanor, you address all client questions and educate the client accordingly. You always encourage an atmosphere of optimism, warmth, and sincere concern when communicating with pet owners as you review the veterinarian's plan and check out the client.
- Engaging and communicating with clients and staff
- Getting and maintaining patient information and records
- Perform basic care for patients that do not require a veterinarian or technician assistance
- Assist the doctor or technician with patient treatments, procedures, and activities
- Assist in maintaining hospital cleanliness, prepping exam rooms, and supply inventory management
- Support receptionist with answering phones, triaging calls, and checking out clients
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management
- We use CORNERSTONE SOFTWARE, that is a plus if you have knowledge or familiar with it.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
