American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center and an active IL RN license.

Hospital-based ICU setting with floating responsibilities to the Step-Down ICU unit
-
Patient population includes cardiovascular, critical care, coronary, and neurological ICU cases
-
Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
-
13-week contract

Active IL RN license currently in hand
-
Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required

Minimum 2 years of ICU experience, specifically at a Level 1 Trauma Center

Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required

COVID-19 vaccination required

Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute individualized patient care plans

Administers medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, standards of care, and applicable state laws

Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
-
Applies critical thinking to patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command

Must be willing to float down to the Step-Down ICU as needed
