The Demand Planner is responsible for supporting the demand planning process by developing, analyzing, and maintaining demand forecasts. This role works cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure accurate, data-driven forecasts that enable effective production and inventory planning.
The position provides foundational exposure to Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), statistical forecasting, and demand analytics, while building strong business and analytical skills.
- Develop and maintain the demand forecast using statistical models, customer forecasts, analytics, and input from sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain.
- Create SKU-level forecasts within the KetteQ demand planning system and partner with supply chain teams to maintain any constraints.
- Conduct scenario planning with the business teams and recommended actions to meet service and shipment goals.
- Partner with the senior demand planner to improve the quality of the statistical forecast for the purpose of improving the accuracy and efficiency of the forecast.
- Support monthly S&OP / demand planning cycle activities
- Prepare data inputs for demand review meetings
- Analyze historical sales, trends, and demand variability
- Leverage forecast KPIs such as MAPE, Bias, and general accuracy targets to improve the demand forecast.
- Support process improvement initiatives
Bachelor of Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Analytics preferred
Understanding of demand planning methods and supply chain processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Self-motivated with a high level of personal drive
Strong organizational and communication skills.
