Our Commitment to an Inclusive Clinical Community
The OCD Relief Clinic is committed to building a clinical team that reflects a broad range of lived experiences, identities, perspectives, and communities. We recognize that many people have experienced barriers to mental health care or have not felt fully understood within traditional treatment settings. We want our clinic to be a place where clients and clinicians feel respected, valued, supported, and able to be themselves.
We welcome applicants of all racial, ethnic, cultural, religious, socioeconomic, gender, sexual-orientation, disability, and neurodivergent backgrounds. We particularly value candidates who demonstrate cultural humility, openness to continued learning, awareness of how identity and systemic barriers can affect treatment, and the ability to provide affirming care to clients whose experiences may differ from their own.
Applicants from communities that have historically been underrepresented within the mental health profession are strongly encouraged to apply.
We do not expect any employee to represent or educate others on behalf of an entire community. Cultural responsiveness is a shared responsibility across our clinic and an ongoing part of our training, consultation, and clinical development.
