Position Summary
The Digital Resources Librarian is a forward-thinking professional responsible for managing and implementing new technology and digital resources to enhance library services and user experiences. This role is designed to grow with a successful candidate, and early-career librarians are encouraged to apply!
This role involves hands-on work with emerging technology, digital tools, and resources. This librarian is also expected to work collaboratively with teaching faculty and staff to support innovative learning, teaching, and research at the institution. Reporting to the Director of Learning Technology and Library Services, the Digital Resources Librarian works closely with library staff, faculty, instructional developers, and IT teams to ensure library systems and resources meet the evolving needs of students and academic programs. The Digital Resources Librarian plays a critical role in advancing the library’s mission to provide accessible, innovative, and high-quality services that support the institution’s academic and research needs.

Salary
Salary range: $53,600 - $58,000
Minimum Required Qualifications
Requires a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) or equivalent from an ALA-accredited program plus two years of experience with library technology systems, such as ILS, discovery platforms, and digital repositories.
Experience should demonstrate
- Practical understanding of metadata standards and practices (e.g., MARC, Dublin Core, or other metadata schemas).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in library services and technology initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification or training in relevant technologies, systems, or programming languages is a plus.
