Position Summary
Accu-Dig, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated Underground Utility Specialist to join our team. This position includes cross-training as a Sewer Camera Operator and offers exposure to both commercial and residential projects, along with opportunities for continued skill development and career advancement within the company.
Key Responsibilities
Excavation and Utility Work
● Prepare and maintain construction sites
● Load and unload materials and equipment
● Operate hand and power tools
● Excavate trenches; perform backfilling and compaction
● Install and repair water and sewer piping
● Construct and dismantle bracing, barricades, forms, and scaffolding
● Provide support to vacuum truck operators
● Interpret and follow construction plans and blueprints
Sewer Camera Operations
● Operate and maintain closed-circuit television (CCTV) inspection equipment
● Conduct robotic camera inspections of storm and sanitary sewer systems in accordance with PACP standards
● Inspect, troubleshoot, and document findings with accuracy
Minimum Qualifications
● Minimum 1 year of experience as an Underground Water and Sewer Utility Specialist
● Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
● Clean driving record
● Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
● Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 50+ pounds on uneven terrain
● Availability for overtime, weekend, and as-needed out-of-town assignments
● Demonstrated commitment to safety and operational efficiency
● Strong reliability and punctuality
● Basic computer proficiency
● Willingness to obtain OSHA 10, Confined Space, and NASSCO PACP certifications
Preferred Qualifications
● Experience in pipe laying or underground utility work
● Prior construction experience
● Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
● Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Compensation
- $25.00–$30.00 per hour, with experience
