We are seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our team in Tucson, Arizona! Applicants must have the ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications, understanding of current electrical codes and be well-versed in the installation of power systems.
You will determine the costs of electrical installations for commercial projects of varying sizes and scopes. Researching prices for project materials and equipment, and communicating with clients to determine the scope of each project is a crucial aspect of this position.
Responsibilities:
- Attend field job walks with customers and subcontractors to determine scope
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and materials required
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Design team, suppliers and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates
- Research and gather pricing information from suppliers and subcontractors
- Knowledge and ability to take an estimate from beginning to end by preparing bid packages and submit proposals to clients
- Review contracts and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and work with the Project Management team to provide cost control recommendations
Qualifications:
- Possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to form lasting relationships with customer and vendors
- Excellent analytical, reasoning, and critical thinking skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and installation
- Knowledgeable of the National Electrical Code and local electrical building codes
- Proficient with computer applications related to database management and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Must be a team player with a good attitude
- Knowledge and ability to use Accubid
- Field experience a plus
- Must be able to pass valid driver’s license and ability to provide proof of a clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background and drug screening

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
