Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions efficiently and accurately
- Manage cash handling responsibilities, including cash register operation and balancing drawers at shift end
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions, and addressing concerns promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas and café spaces
- Assist with food handling, basic food prep, and serving food items to ensure quality presentation
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers quickly while maintaining accuracy in orders
Experience
- Prior barista experience or background working in a café or food service environment is highly preferred (6 months-1+ year)
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong skills in customer service, sales, and serving are essential for success in this role
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, food handling procedures, and basic math for retail transactions is required
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
- Experience with cash handling, cashiering, and retail math enhances your candidacy
- Demonstrated ability to work well as part of a team with excellent time management skills
- Fast-learner that can comprehend reading and writing.
