Operational Lead – Ice Cream Shop
Jazzberry Creamery is seeking an energetic and dependable leader to join our growing team in the heart of the entertainment district of Wilton Manors.
This is a hands-on working leadership position within our ice cream shop. The ideal candidate enjoys customer interaction, leading by example, supporting team members, and helping create a fun and welcoming environment for both guests and staff. The works alongside the team while assisting with training, coaching, shift support, organization, and maintaining high customer service standards. Please have experience in employee management.
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
- Open and Close shop
- Assist with ordering product and supplies.
- Assist with training and coaching team members
- Support daily shop operations and workflow
- Help maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards
- Prepare and serve specialty ice cream desserts, shakes, sundaes, floats, and beverages
- Assist during busy rush periods while maintaining a positive attitude
- Encourage teamwork and help create a welcoming atmosphere for guests
- Help monitor product quality and consistency
- Order ice cream and supplies for shop.
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service and people skills required
- Experience in leading shift team members
- Leadership qualities and ability to lead by example
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be available to work evenings until 11 PM and weekends until midnight
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Positive attitude and professional appearance
- Food service, dessert shop, coffee shop, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred
- Willingness to learn specialty dessert preparation and shop procedures
- Ability to remain calm and friendly during busy periods
- Must work well with diverse customers and staff in a high-energy entertainment district environment
