The Staff Accountant is a key member of the accounting team., responsable for supporting day to day accounting operations and ensuring accuracy across financial records. This role goes beyond traditional accounts payable functions and includes involvement in general ledger activities, reconciliations, and month end close.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP principal and general ledger fundamentals, along with hands on experience in a fast paced enviroment.
Experience in Quantum /Component Control ERP, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced aviation parts environment. As part of the Finance team, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable including invoice matching, coding, and approval
- Maintain vendor relationships and resolve invoice discrepancies professionally and efficiently
- Perform 3-way match for part purchases, repairs, and freight invoices using Quantum
- Prepare and execute weekly payments (ACH, wire, check runs)
- Reconcile vendor statements and support month-end closing procedures
- Assist with financial reporting, accruals, and audits
- Support inventory, repair tracking, and cost allocation tasks
- Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets for reporting, tracking, and analysis
- Take on special projects and tasks as delegated by the Controller
- Contribute to process improvements and policy documentation
Qualifications
- 3 years + of experience in Accounts Payable or Accounting Support (aviation industry preferred) Component Control, GAAP, General Ledger
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines independently
- Proficiency in Quantum/CC ERP is required
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving ability
