Inventory Manager — Fast-Growing Peptide Brand in West Hollywood
About us
SKO Compounds is a fast-growing direct-to-consumer peptide company in West Hollywood. We ship thousands of orders a month, and we run the business on systems we built ourselves. We're a 15-person team — you'll work on-site with us and report directly to the founders.
The role
You own inventory planning. With ~45 SKUs and thousands of DTC orders a month, the job is getting the buy right — reading our sales data, forecasting demand, and making sure we have the stock to meet it without over-ordering into cash we can't get back.
The number in our system and the number on the shelf are your responsibility, and when they don't match, you're the one who finds out why. But the bigger job is forward-looking: what sells, how fast, what's trending up, what to reorder and when.
This is a trust role. No one audits your work behind you, so we're looking for someone precise, disciplined, and honest about the numbers — even when they're ugly.
What you'll own
- Demand forecasting across ~45 SKUs, built on our sales data
- Reorder timing and quantities — enough to never stock out of a top seller, never over-buy a slow one
- Inventory accuracy: the system matches the shelf, always
- Investigating variances and fixing the root cause, not just the number
- Receiving accuracy and inbound reconciliation
- Flagging trends early — what's accelerating, what's dying — before it hits stock
What we're looking for
- DTC inventory planning and forecasting experience. This is the one that matters. You've forecasted demand off real sales data for a direct-to-consumer brand and gotten the buy right. Non-negotiable.
- Precision and self-discipline. You catch your own errors. You'd rather find a problem yourself than have someone find it for you.
- Fluent in sales data. You read velocity, seasonality, and trend out of a spreadsheet and turn it into a buy plan.
- Comfortable in software. You live in systems all day and pick up new ones fast.
- Ownership. This role reports to the founders. You run inventory; we trust you to run it.
