Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Vascular Clinic
Quality Staffing Specialists is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join a respected Vascular Clinic in Raleigh, NC. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated healthcare professional seeking a full-time, 13-week contract assignment in a collaborative outpatient setting.
Position Details
- Location: Raleigh, NC
- Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift: Day Shift
- No weekends
- No holidays
- No on-call requirements
Pay Rates
$20.00-$21.00 per hour
Job Responsibilities
As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will provide both clinical and administrative support to ensure exceptional patient care and efficient clinic operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform patient intake, rooming, and documentation of vital signs, height, weight, and reason for visit
- Obtain and document patient medical, surgical, and social histories
- Review and update medication lists, allergy information, and preferred pharmacy details
- Assist providers during examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Perform specimen collection and phlebotomy
- Administer medications under provider direction
- Conduct diagnostic testing, including EKGs and vision screenings as directed
- Review patient records to identify routine health screening needs
- Maintain fully stocked and prepared exam and procedure rooms
- Provide patients with follow-up instructions and educational materials
- Clean, stock, and maintain exam and treatment areas
- Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment
- Assist with patient registration, scheduling, referrals, and check-in/check-out functions
- Answer clinic phone calls and support administrative operations
- Provide assistance during emergency situations as directed by clinical leadership
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) year of recent Medical Assistant experience
- Current certification as one of the following:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) - National Association of Health Professionals (NAHP)
- National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) - National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
- Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
