Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Caregiver to join our team in Luray/Mt. Jackson for 20 hours per week at an engaging rate. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by providing essential support to clients in their homes or community settings. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and overall condition; report changes promptly
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary
- Support clients with medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and organization of living spaces
- Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to ensure safe patient transfers
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being and social engagement
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living, home health, or long-term care environments preferred
- Familiarity with patient observation, dementia or Alzheimer's care, and memory care techniques
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is advantageous
- Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications such as hospice care or nursing assistance are a plus
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, families, and healthcare teams
