AVIR at Alice is seeking compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. We are hiring for both Full-Time and Per Diem opportunities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a PTA who enjoys working directly with residents and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to help individuals achieve their highest level of functional independence.
Position Responsibilities
Provide skilled physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Implement individualized treatment plans based on residents' needs and goals.
Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, balance activities, transfers, and functional activities.
Monitor residents' progress and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
Document treatment sessions accurately and in a timely manner.
Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, mobility, and safety techniques.
Collaborate with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
Maintain compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
Current Texas Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in good standing.
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills.
Experience in skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or a similar setting is preferred.
Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused approach to care.
