American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Float Pool Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring cardiac experience and MA licensure, working nights on a 12-week contract.

Float pool position based out of the McCann unit, serving MS/Tele and Tele units including medical, surgical, and observation settings
-
Patient population includes medical, surgical, and observation diagnoses requiring telemetry monitoring
-
Travelers may be assigned to up to 2 different units within a single 12-hour shift based on census needs
-
Float pool is staffed alongside PCAs and OAs, with placement determined by unit needs during bed meetings
-
Facility uses the Avasure video monitoring system, capable of watching up to 12 patients simultaneously
-
Primary charting system is Cerner
-
Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Every other weekend coverage required
-
Active MA RN license required
-
Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS
-
Minimum 2–3 years of RN experience required

Cardiac nursing experience required
-
Experience with Epic or Cerner EMR required

Responsibilities include float coverage across MS/Tele and Tele units based on patient census and unit needs

Staff assigned to the Avasure monitoring office must be relieved for breaks and meals — travelers may be asked to assist with coverage

First-time travelers with 2–3 years of experience are welcome to apply

Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration

Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
