Join our dynamic finance team as an Accountant and play a vital role in managing and maintaining accurate financial records across diverse accounting functions. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), managing financial data entry, reconciling accounts, and supporting financial reporting processes. Duties
- Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring accuracy in debits and credits while maintaining detailed documentation for audit purposes
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable management, and account analysis to ensure financial data integrity
- Manage payroll processing using systems such as ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, Ceridian, or Workday to ensure timely and accurate employee compensation
- Perform month-end closing activities including general ledger reconciliation and financial statement preparation in compliance with GAAP standards
- Support tax preparation activities by gathering relevant data, assisting with tax filings, and ensuring adherence to governmental regulations
- Utilize various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms for data entry and financial reporting
- Assist with internal controls related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance and participate in audits to verify adherence to regulatory standards
Experience
- Proven experience in corporate accounting with a strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping
- Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or equivalent financial management tools
- Familiarity with payroll management systems like ADP or Paychex and timekeeping platforms such as Kronos or UltiPro
- Knowledge of governmental accounting standards and non-profit accounting practices is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation, balance sheet analysis, and account analysis accurately and efficiently
- Experience working within public accounting firms or in roles involving technical accounting functions is highly desirable
- Strong math skills combined with excellent attention to detail for data entry, account analysis, and financial reporting tasks
