The position is designed to be in office, with flexibility to work remotely as business needs support, and requires approximately 40% of travel; travel demands vary throughout the year.
Qualifications
Education and Experience: Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, and a minimum of two years of full-time, pre K-12 teaching experience or higher education experience related to pre K-12 instruction.

Overview
School Safety Consultants provide support for school safety programs and student well-being as part of an agency-wide comprehensive Coordinated School Health (CSH) approach. CSH is a systematic approach to promoting student health and safety. The department supports this comprehensive approach through multiple teams of regional consultants.
Responsibilities

The Education Regional Academic Consultant/School Safety Consultant role will focus on creating strategic district partnerships within their assigned region that focuses on building district capacity to lead a comprehensive CSH approach, including continuously evaluating, assessing, and implementing effective safety protocols and plans to ensure a safe and resilient school environment.
- This role would include collaboration with various state and local agencies and resources in order to support local school districts across the state.
