Summary/Objective
The Baler Operator must be self-motivated and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision. The candidate must maintain a professional and courteous attitude. The candidate must be flexible, as the tasks required could change with minimal or no notice, throughout the workday. The candidate must also be willing to assist in other departments in times of need. All overtime is mandatory and could be required on short notice. Lifting up to 100 lbs. is required at times.
Essential Functions

Maintain baler and keep area around the baler clean. Keep wire supply in good order and wire supply maintained on baler spools as needed. Inform Maintenance Dept. of any problems with the machine.

Keep scrap around the entire plant cleaned up and ran through the shredder on a consistent basis.

Keep trash cans, throughout the inside and outside of the plant, emptied daily.

Keep white floor barriers around plant walls cleaned.

Keep scrap pallets and wood cleaned up throughout the plant.

Clean out pit at scrap conveyor for shredder on a periodically scheduled basis and maintain shredder and scrap conveyer for proper operation, by keeping area around the shredder clean and notifying maintenance of any issues.

Assist Maintenance Dept. with miscellaneous projects as needed.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and resource.
Work Environment
Most of the work will be performed in manufacturing facilities where the noise level may be loud, and the temperature is uncontrolled.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with 12-hour work schedule/hours, but the employee must agree to variation in work schedules/hours and overtime.
