Overview:
Gates Underground LLC is seeking a hardworking, reliable drop-plow laborer to join our underground utility installation team in the La Center area. This role is essential to our daily operations, providing residential fiber-optic service drops.
Responsibilities:
- Manual labor: Assist with hand digging, trenching, and potholing to safely locate existing utilities.
- Crew support: Support the foreman and other operators with the setup and operation of drop plows and specialized machinery.
- Material handling: Manage materials on site, including conduit, cable reels, and hand tools.
- Site restoration: Perform job site cleanup and restoration, ensuring the property is returned to its original condition or better.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or outdoor manual labor is a plus, but we are willing to train candidates with a strong work ethic.
- Physical requirements: Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift 50lbs.
- License: Valid driver’s license
- Reliability: Punctuality and reliable transportation to job sites are mandatory.
