Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and create a positive, engaging environment for all visitors
- Assist customers in selecting products that meet their needs through personalized recommendations and product demos
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of our inventory, including new products and promotions
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts
- Upsell products by highlighting features, benefits, and complementary items to maximize customer satisfaction and store sales
- Manage merchandising displays, stock levels, and product placement to ensure an attractive shopping environment
- Provide clear instructions on responsible consumption and adhere to all legal regulations regarding product sale and distribution
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales or customer service roles, preferably within grocery stores or similar environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain product features clearly and confidently
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math for accurate transactions
- Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities or team support roles
- Excellent phone etiquette for engaging with customers remotely or over the phone
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for sales and inventory management
- Experience in merchandising, stocking shelves, and maintaining an organized retail space
- Knowledge of cannabis products or willingness to learn through training sessions
