The Meteor is an unexpected mash-up of all-day cafe, cocktails, natural wine shop, and boutique bike shop. We are open 7 days a week from 7am - 10pm ('til 11pm Friday - Saturday). We are a counter service cafe that makes no fuss coffee and surprisingly good food with refreshing beverages to compliment.
Overview:
We are currently looking to hire two AM/PM kitchen assistants (skills: line cook, prep, pizza maker) to Fayetteville's South Yard. We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds and experiences with great communication skills, teamwork, self motivation, and positive attitudes. This position would be for 5 shifts weekly with hours ranging from 30-40. Prior kitchen experience is required. Ability to work PM shifts required. Weekend availability required.
Kitchen Assistant:
-Receiving and organizing ingredients
-Daily inventorying and prepping
-creating prep lists for the current and following day
-Executing The Meteor menu according to recipes and specs
-Operating in accordance to food safety standards
-Maintaining a clean work area
Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Flexibility to work different shifts or schedules as needed
Closing shifts:
2pm-9:30pm (Sunday-Thursday)
3pm-10:30pm (Friday and Saturday)
