Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs using excellent communication skills.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately.
- Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, cash drawer management, and balancing registers at shift end.
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities.
- Maintain stock levels by assisting with stocking shelves and merchandising products to enhance store presentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions about products, store policies, and promotions.
- Demonstrate phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
- Support the team with basic retail math calculations for pricing, discounts, and totals.
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and product organization.
- Promote store sales through upselling techniques while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred; supervisory experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in bilingual settings is advantageous.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and cash handling procedures.
- Knowledge of retail store product details and merchandising principles.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory counts.
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create positive interactions.
- Experience in supervising or leading team members is beneficial but not required.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends or evenings as needed.
