Columbus Property Management (CPM), a member of Mission First Housing Group is seeking an Assistant Community Manager who assists the Community Manager in complying with all phases of operations that affect the tenancy of individuals within his/her assigned portfolio.
Property Operations – 30%
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned properties to ensure high standards of service and maintenance
- Conduct regular property inspections and address maintenance, safety, and appearance issues
- Coordinate and supervise vendors, contractors, and other property staff
- Respond promptly and professionally to resident inquiries and concerns
Financial Management – 25%
- Prepare and manage annual operating budgets
- Monitor property financial performance and control operating expenses
- Review and approve invoices; review contracts and forward to District Manager for approval
- Responsible for rent collection, delinquency management, and expense recovery as applicable
Resident Relations – 15%
- Maintain positive landlord–resident relationships
- Enforce lease terms consistently and professionally
- Coordinate resident move-ins, move-outs, re-certifications, and renewals
- Resolve resident complaints and disputes in a timely manner
Compliance & Risk Management – 15%
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- Enforce company policies, safety protocols, and emergency procedures
- Maintain accurate property records, inspections, and documentation
- Ensure all audits, insurance claims, and risk mitigation efforts are completed in line with company standards
Leasing & Occupancy – 15%
- Implement leasing initiatives to achieve occupancy and revenue goals
- Review and process applications and renewals in line with company standards
- Prepare leasing documents, renewals, and re-certifications
- Monitor and evaluate market conditions; create a quarterly marketing plan in accordance with company occupancy standards

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma required
- Minimum of three (3) years of property management or related customer service experience, including at least one (1) year of supervisory experience
- Experience managing residential or mixed-use properties preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Financial acumen with budgeting and reporting experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Yardi experience preferred
Certifications (Preferred)
- TCS, HCCP, COS, or equivalent professional designation
- Real estate or Property Manager license (if required by jurisdiction)

- Combination of office and on-site property work
- Occasional evenings or weekends may be required
- Ability to walk properties, climb stairs, and conduct inspections
