Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pipe Welder to join our construction and manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing pipe systems in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and industry standards. This role requires a strong understanding of welding techniques, mechanical systems, and safety protocols to ensure high-quality work on various projects including HVAC, plumbing, fire sprinkler fitting, and pipeline installation.
Duties
- Perform STICK, MIG welding, FCAW, TIG welding, and soldering on various pipe materials following ASME codes & standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble piping systems.
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and pipe threading equipment to prepare and fit pipes for welding.
- Measure and mark pipes for cutting and bending using tube bending techniques and basic math calculations.
- Execute pipe fitting tasks including assembly, installation, and maintenance of piping systems in construction sites or manufacturing facilities.
- Conduct rigging operations to position pipes safely during installation.
- Perform quality inspections to ensure weld integrity and compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to welding, construction site operations, and equipment handling.
Skills
- Proficiency in STICK, MIG welding, FCAW, TIG welding, and soldering techniques.
- Experience with fire sprinkler fitting, HVAC piping, plumbing, pipeline installation, and tube bending.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, ASME codes & standards, and mechanical drawings.
- Mechanical knowledge of pipe threading, assembly processes, and maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, calipers, and rigging equipment used in pipe fabrication.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and experience working in manufacturing or construction environments.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe fitting.
- Knowledge of schematics for system layouts and troubleshooting piping issues. Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
