Duties
- Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and perform cash drawer handling with precision.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries.
- Upsell products and promote store specials or new items to enhance sales opportunities.
- Conduct product demos when needed to educate customers about features and benefits.
- Restock shelves and merchandise displays to ensure the store remains inviting and organized.
- Maintain professional phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via other communication channels.
- Support merchandising efforts by organizing products according to store standards and assisting with inventory management.
- Assist in supervising team members during busy periods, ensuring smooth operations and excellent service delivery.
- Engage customers with bilingual communication skills when applicable to serve diverse clientele effectively.
Skills
- Proficiency in POS systems and cash register operations for seamless transactions.
- Strong retail math skills for accurate cash handling, balancing registers, and calculating change.
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members.
- Previous supervising experience is a plus for supporting team coordination during shifts.
- Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge and merchandising techniques.
- Experience in retail sales transactions, upselling, and customer service excellence.
- Familiarity with stock replenishment procedures and inventory management practices.
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve a diverse customer base effectively.
