This position contributes to our vision by:
- Researches new materials, processes and concepts to facilitate continuous improvement in seat design.
.• Researches new materials, processes (materials and manufacturing), seating systems, weight reduction for seats, cost reduction for seats, improvements in manufacturing and assembly efficiency, structures and load paths, and industry trends to facilitate continuous improvement in seat design, certification, and manufacturing.
- Ensures compliance to established schedules for tasked research projects.
- Coordinates with outside suppliers and vendors.
- Coordinates with internal departments, including but not limited to purchasing and operations.
- Assesses the ability of the material and process to be produced according to Safran Seats USA specific application requirements and material specification.
